Does Your Child Have Nightmares? 3 Ways To Help!

Does Your Child Have Nightmares? 3 Ways To Help!

It's one of those situations which often leaves parents feeling helpless.

Of course, parents do what they can to help prevent bad dreams during the day- no scary movies or stories - yet, most of the time it is completely out of their control. Here are a few ways you can help your child get a good night’s sleep.

1) Teach your child to call out the name of Jesus and make the Sign of the Cross when they are afraid.

Not only does this help with nightmares, but it also helps when scary things happen in real life. This is a tool that your child can use and have confidence in.

2) Get some exorcised oil.

Bless your child each night with exorcised oil before going to bed. Let them also keep it nearby in case they need to use it during the night.

3) Introduce your child to the saints and the angels.

Tell them about the Guardian Angel they have who is always ready to help them.

The Little Saint Adventures app strives to pass on these tools of faith to the next generation through fun and innovative games.

For example, in St. Michael’s Battlefield, kids will learn about heaven, angels, and saints, all while engaged in something they love doing. Activities in Avila’s Castle help them to memorize prayers that they can use to overcome fear and anxiety.
